Every year, on March 8th, the world celebrates International Women’s Day, honoring the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across the globe. But today, I want to take a moment to recognize a different kind of warrior—the women who suffer silently, battling cancer while trying to prove to themselves and the world that they can still do it all.

I know this journey intimately because I have lived it. My battle began in 2015, and since then, cancer has tried to define my story in countless ways. It attacked my lungs, liver, breasts, and bones. At one point, I couldn’t walk for a year and a half. Treatments failed time and time again, forcing me to change protocols more than ten times in the last five years. I underwent radiology three times, faced unbearable pain, and endured the uncertainty that comes with every doctor’s visit, every scan, every moment spent waiting for answers. And yet, through it all, I refused to let cancer define me.

Many women like me continue their fight in silence, trying to normalize their lives as much as possible. We go to work, raise families, build businesses, pursue dreams, and continue striving for impact—all while our bodies fight a war that no one can see. We show up despite the pain, the fatigue, the endless treatments. We do it because we believe in life. We believe we deserve to flourish, to love, to achieve, and to make a difference.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned through this journey is that I am my own best friend. Cancer has taught me that no one is responsible for my happiness or security but me. I have had to cultivate strength from within, redefine what success means, and embrace the power of living in the present moment. It has not been easy, but it has been profound.

This realization was a driving force behind Shifting Gaia, a platform born from my journey—one that stands as a testament to resilience, sustainability, and conscious living. Shifting Gaia is more than a brand; it is a movement that empowers people to live better, to prioritize their well-being, and to embrace a life that aligns with their values. It is about making choices that nurture both ourselves and the world around us, proving that even in the face of adversity, we can build something meaningful.

So today, on International Women’s Day, I honor every woman who is fighting a battle no one else can see. The ones who refuse to let their pain define them. The ones who continue to build, to dream, to love, and to show up for themselves and others despite everything.

To the silent warriors—your strength is immeasurable, your resilience unmatched. You are not just surviving; you are living proof of what it means to rise, again and again, no matter the odds.

You are extraordinary, and today, we celebrate you.
