details:

Packaging
Lifelong essentially offers two products: their refillable aluminum case and their refill pouches. The case is 100% aluminum (a forever recyclable) and the refill pouches are biodegradable/ compostable. The refills actually come in the form of “powder to liquid,” which means they can ship without water and greatly reduce emissions from shipping.

Material Sustainability
Lifelong sources just a handful of ingredients for their deodorants, all of which are either sourced from low impact crops or for synthetics, are minimally/ negligably harmful to the environment.

Energy Use and Footprint
There is little available information regarding production and overall emissions across the supply chain. They claim to work with one of Europes most sustainable, certified manufacturers but offer no other details beyond this.

Waste Management
Lifelong’s business model lends itself naturally to waste reduction. They offer an alternative to traditional deodorant that greatly reduces much of the waste present in the industry.

Business Model
The brand’s business model offers just one product, which is divided between the refillable case and 3 scent options (including scent-free). They have essentially 0 product turn and present a 100% evergreen line.

details:

Lifelong’s includes few ingredients, most of which fall under the least toxic category for synthetic ingredients. The highest EWG score for any ingredient used (meaning highest risk), is only a 3, which makes their formulations by and large non-toxic.

details:

There is little to no information available regarding fair labor. At the same time, the products are manufactured in France, which generally carries a very low risk for fair labor violations. The brand is vegan and cruelty-free, though they lack third party certification. They partner with Seven Clean Seas to remove 1kg of plastic from the ocean for every order made.
